We
rejoice in the fact that we have over 3,800 parish members (over 1,500
families) in our community of faith. We warmly invite you to come join
in our celebration of Mass, and find out more
about our parochial school.
St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery
Plots for Christian burial are available for both parishioners and non-parishioners.
Perpetual care is provided. There are no planting restrictions and water
is available at the cemetery. Contact the parish office to purchase a
plot.
Fund Raisers
St. John the Baptist Church sponsors several fund raisers. Money raised
from these fund raisers is used to pay for church expenses.

History
For generations SJB has been an active and vibrant Catholic
parish.
1861 = St. John the Baptist Parish was established
1893 = First parsonage is built
1896 = Our first Catholic school was opened
1906 = Cornerstone of second parish laid
1929 = St. John the Baptist Cemetery is acquired
1952 = 8-room school (auditorium and gym) is built.
1955 = Road America stand is initiated
1961 = Convent and school addition is built
1982 = Sisters end their service to our school
1987 = A new church building is built to hold our growing congregation
1998 = Another school expansion is built to handle increase in students
2004 = New parish rectory is constructed
2007= Cross and lighting installed on church steeple. New organ dedicated for service. Hand-carved Way of the Cross stations are ordered from Belgium.
