Curriculum
Our curriculum provides students with scholastic materials and computer training that is necessary in their preparation for academic growth. We are dedicated to individual excellence in both our students and ourselves. Because education is a joint effort, we strive to utilize parental and community talent and involvement.
Curriculum Plan
St. John the Baptist's academic curriculum plan meets the requirements of the Milwaukee Archdiocese Office of Education and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Specific grade curriculum plans and expectations are available to all student families. Please contact the school office for more details.
Instructional Time
SJB will provide at least the minimum recommended allocated instructional time per week in each subject area. However, educators are encouraged to integrate subjects throughout the curriculum whenever possible. Student attendance at liturgies is encouraged, however only one liturgy attendance may be included as instructional time per week.
Up to 1/3 of each day in the Kindergarten schedule may be reserved for students’ self-selected instructional activities. Middle School (Grades 6-8) instructional time may vary slightly to achieve the objectives and allocation of instructional time identified in the curriculum plans of each teacher.
