Parent Involvement
All families are strongly encouraged to support and participate at SJB in some way throughout the year - this includes any type of volunteer opportunities and participation in our fall and spring fundraisers.
“Many hands make light work” and any amount of time and effort that families can give to the classroom, the faculty, the students, or the school is greatly appreciated and needed to keep the high standard of education at SJB.
If you need to contact Home & School, please e-mail homeandschool@sjbplymouth.org
Our Home & School Association is a parent run group that helps coordinate all volunteer opportunities and fundraising efforts at SJB. Any volunteers that will be in our school or will chaperone school field trips are required to attend the “Safeguarding All God’s Children” awareness session prior to participation.
SJB Photos
Do you have digital photos of SJB events or classroom activities? If so, please send them to yearbook@sjbplymouth.org for use in our school brochures, newspaper announcements and yearbook. Any pictures sent will become part of the SJB digital photograph library. By sending pictures you are authorizing the publication of it for school purposes, please be sure that all people in the picture agree to this permission.
SJB Home & School Association
The SJB Home & School Association is a parent run organization that promotes a sense of community within the school family by sponsoring school events, activities and fundraising. Funds to support the Home & School operating budget are raised through the yearly collection of dues from all families enrolled at St. John the Baptist school and our annual Fish Fry. All parents or guardians of children enrolled at St. John the Baptist are members of the Home & School Association through payment of dues. Home & School strives to facilitate an additional line of communication between school personnel and school families. We sponsor a variety of activities and events throughout the school year. In addition, we are responsible for the coordination of our school fundraising efforts. School-wide participation in fundraising is expected. The Parish requests that Home & School raise a targeted goal of money each year, which is applied to the school budget to minimize tuition increases. A group of four parents are elected to the Home & School Executive Board to lead this group, who then reports to the school principal.
