Parent Involvement
All families are strongly encouraged to volunteer at SJB in some way throughout the year. “Many hands make light work” and any amount of time that families can give to the classroom, the faculty, the students or the school is greatly appreciated and needed. Our Home & School Association is a parent run group that helps coordinate all parent involvement opportunities at SJB. Any volunteers that will be in our school or will chaperone school field trips are required to attend the “Safeguarding All God’s Children” awareness session prior to volunteering.
Home & School Association
The goal of Home & School is to promote a sense of community within the school family by sponsoring school events, activities and fundraising. Funds to support specific Home & School activities are raised through the yearly collection of dues from all families enrolled at St. John the Baptist school. All parents or guardians of children enrolled at St. John the Baptist are members of the Home & School Association. The Association strives to facilitate an additional line of communication between school personnel and school families. In addition, the Association is responsible for coordination of our school fund raising efforts. School-wide participation in fundraising is encouraged, as the money earned from these fund raisers help support our school and aids in minimizing tuition increases. A group of four parents are elected to the Executive Board to lead this group, who then report to the school principal.
